NY Ice Productions came to us needing an identity that represented the company as a whole but could also be flexible enough to work with individual show branding, as each show has a different theme. The identity also needed to be fun, engaging, but also sophisticated because of their demographic range. NY Ice Productions wanted a brand that appeals to families for their younger, family friendly performances but also needed it to work well for more mature audiences since they'll be producing shows with more adult content.
The logo we created was inspired by advertisements during the golden age of Hollywood, and vintage Ice Capades posters. We also drew a lot of inspiration from Las Vegas neon signs because of their exaggerated flash, glamor, and connection to entertainment and performance.
We created several versions of the logo to ensure the client is prepared for any type of application, large or small.
The custom hand lettered "Ice" is sophisticated and friendly. As a compliment, we paired it with a versatile rounded typeface called Filson Soft. The combination is friendly, charming and unique. Lastly, the stars add flash, glamor, and excitement. They are carried through all assets in the identity.
We provided NY Ice Productions with various versions of the logo, different lockups for the stars, and logo usage guidelines to give them a strong foundation to build the company. We have many more projects planned to do together in the future and we're looking forward to sharing those as well!
